Peter S. Freudenthal
Co-founder

Peter co-founded Darwin Ventures in 2002. He was a Managing General Partner. Prior to Darwin, Peter was Chairman, CEO, and founder of meVC, Inc. and MVC Capital (MVC: NYSE).

Prior to this, Peter was Senior Biotechnology Equity Research Analyst and a Vice President with Robertson Stephens & Company in San Francisco. From 1995 to 1997, Peter was Director of Healthcare Research at Brean Murray & Company, a privately held investment bank in New York.

Peter attended the Yale School of Medicine where he focused on neurosurgery and trauma surgery. Prior to medicine, Peter was senior graduate fellow in the Laboratory of Immunology & Cellular Physiology at The Rockefeller University in New York. During that time, he authored and co-authored over 25 original scientific papers, abstracts and reviews in the fields of antigen presentation and AIDS research in addition to being a National Science Foundation Fellow and a David C. Scott Foundation Fellow. From 1981 to 1985, Peter was a Thomas J. Watson Scholar at the IBM Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Peter received his B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale.
